What is the exact location of the hotel?
The Hotel Am Panoramabogen is located at the entrance to Cochem from the direction of Eifel / Nürburgring / Aachen / B 259. By car, take the first entrance on the left. Coming from Trier / Bernkastel-Kues along the Moselle, drive into the roundabout and turn onto the B 259 in the direction of Ulmen. Then take the first exit on the right.
Our house is located slightly above the Moselle and consists of two parts of the building, the inn and the hotel. The buildings are connected by a covered walkway through the garden.
Where can I find the reception and how long is it occupied?
The reception is located in the hotel on the corner of Klostergartenstrasse / Strasse Am Reilsbach. The front desk is open from 8 AM to 10 PM, and often longer. A late arrival is only possible after consultation.
Is there a night porter?
No. The reception is not staffed at night. In absolute emergencies, a responsible person can also be reached by phone at other times and will help you. The key ensures access to your room at night. Please inform yourself at the reception.
How long does it take to get to the city center and old town?
It takes about 5 minutes to walk to the Moselle promenade and 20 minutes to walk to the city center. It takes about 3 minutes by car. It is advisable to leave the car at the hotel, as any city parking spaces are almost as far away.
Why should you make a reservation directly at the hotel?
If you book your hotel stay directly with us, you get good value for money, service and other advantages! Many arrangements, flexible prices and offers are not offered on any other booking platform. We do not charge reservation fees and there are no hidden costs. You have personal contact with us and our employees. Your booking will be processed individually and guaranteed by us. Depending on availability, you have priority for room requests and earlier check-in.
Is the online reservation system on the website secure?
Our modern reservation system is very simple, quick and secure. Flexible room rates, offers, availability and arrangements are reliably displayed. A credit card guarantee is expected for some installments. in this case your credit card only serves to guarantee the reservation and will not be charged in advance. The data is encrypted and transmitted securely. When booking a non-refundable offer, please check any different cancellation and payment conditions.
How do you handle general data protection?
We will not use your email address for marketing purposes unless you give us your permission. When can we move into the room?
The room is guaranteed from 3 p.m. Depending on availability and arrangement, you can also check in earlier. If you arrive earlier, you can also park the car and have the rest of the day free.
When do we have to leave the room?
Check-out on the day of departure is expected by 11:00 a.m. If you leave later, you can still park the car and have the rest of the day freely available.
Is there an accommodation for bicycles?
On the grounds in the garden there is a covered accommodation for your bicycles. The parking spaces are usually sufficient and you can lock and secure the bikes with your own bike lock. Although there has not been a single negative incident in many years, we ask for your understanding that we cannot accept any liability.
From when to when are the indoor pool and sauna room open?
The indoor pool is open from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and the sauna from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Is the hotel suitable for the disabled?
Unfortunately, due to its hillside location, the hotel is not particularly suitable for the disabled. There are a few steps up to the restaurant from the hotel. We are happy to help you overcome lighter handicaps. For this reason, we do not currently offer rooms for the disabled.
Does the hotel have a lift?
In the inn (main building) there is the restaurant on the first floor and on the second and third floors there are rooms of types A, A + and D. There is no elevator in the inn. There are three passenger lifts in the hotel. However, there are two steps to get to the rooms.
How many stars does the hotel have?
Like many other hotels, we do not have an official star rating. Star or other forms of classification that you can find on the Internet from us, mostly with 3-4 stars or comparable symbols, are decisions of independent tour operators or online travel agencies. We have no influence here
Do you have a view of the Moselle from your room?
The hotel is located in a relatively quiet residential area, which many guests in the densely populated Moselle valley appreciate. Many rooms have a limited view of the Moselle valley. You can reach the Moselle promenade in a few minutes on foot.
Are pets allowed in the hotel and how much do they cost per day?
Dogs of medium size are welcome guests with us. Please register the dog in advance. The price is € 10 per day. Our miniature poodle Oskar is always happy to make new four-legged and two-legged friendships. In the restaurant we reserve dog friends, with consideration for other guests, if possible a quieter table for undisturbed eating. Dogs are also allowed in the cozy lounge.
When and where is breakfast served?
We serve the breakfast buffet from 8:00 to 10:00 in the restaurant. If you need to have breakfast a little earlier, please contact our employees.
What gastronomic offers are there in the hotel?
In the inn there is the "Sehler Mark" restaurant with fine traditional cuisine and international offers. The daily fresh menus and the salad buffet are also popular. There is a cozy lounge bar in the hotel. Here you can meet during the day or in the evening for a good glass of wine or a freshly tapped beer. The kitchen in the restaurant is open from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm. The lounge bar closes 11:00 p.m.
Is it possible to take special diets into account?
With lactose and gluten intolerances, wheat flour allergies, diets or all other allergies as well as vegetarian or vegan diets, there is only a limited offer. The variety of these different younger forms of nutrition forces us to reject any guarantee for the 100% dosage form. Unfortunately, our kitchen can no longer afford this from a technical point of view. We assure you, however, that we will do our best in individual consultation with you to make your stay as pleasant as possible, because we always try to fulfill your every wish.
Is there internet connection in the hotel and the rooms?
In the lounge and the public areas as well as in the rooms, there is a free WiFi connection within the local conditions. We are not always able to judge to what extent the range meets your personal needs. We constantly strive to improve the offer.
Are there parking spaces at the hotel and can you reserve them?
There is usually a sufficient number of parking spaces at the hotel. Parking spaces are also available on the roadside around the hotel. It is also possible to reserve a guaranteed parking space in the hotel car park (3 minutes walking distance). There are 16 spaces available for this. Cost 6,- € per day.
Are there offers for half / full board?
Yes, on the one hand, you can add additional offers after selecting the room, such as a dinner to book online. Or choose one of the attractive arrangements, which usually already include dinner.
Can I book wellness services online?
Yes, wellness services are also part of the bookable additional offers, if available.
Where can I see the room prices? How much does a room cost?
Our prices are calculated daily. Therefore we can not give you general information about what an overnight stay costs. In our online information system, however, you can enter the desired arrival and personal data at any time using the booking mask at the top left and our system will search for the appropriate current prices and offers in advance. You do not have to provide any personal information or end the booking process.
Do I get the best price?
You book on the hotel's own website. Our hotel does not have to pay any commissions or reservation costs to third parties for this reservation, so you can be assured of booking at the best prices and conditions.
Are the prices per person or per room?
Unless otherwise stated, all prices stated in the online booking are per room. Prices per person and night can also be shown on our regular website, but these are marked accordingly.
Can I book two rooms of different categories?
This is of course possible online. All you have to do is add another room to your booking using the "Add other rooms" button.

Why haven't I received a reservation number / confirmation?
In very rare cases, it may happen that you do not receive a reservation confirmation by email due to technical difficulties, even though you have carried out the booking correctly to the end. In this case, please also check your spam folder or contact the hotel so that we can send you the confirmation again.
How can I change or cancel a reservation?
If you need to change or cancel your reservation, please contact our hotel immediately. Depending on the conditions, some bookings can also be canceled online, in which case you will find instructions on the booking confirmation. Is tip in a hotel in Germany common?
Tipping is not expected from employees, but it is a sign of appreciation and recognition of a service and one is happy about that. Since we all tend to forget those you can't see, there is a small piggy bank at the reception. What goes in here is fairly divided from the maid to the chef. Of course, you can also make someone happy personally and ultimately, of course, it is up to you whether you want to reward a good performance.
